Have you ever had someone ask you, “What do you do?” It’s not very easy to answer. Women are multi-faceted, multi-tasking maniacs. I can be three people, accomplishing three different goals all at the same time. I’m mommy, teacher, wife all of the time. That button never gets turned off. And, I’m designer (business number one) and now personal stylist (business number two) part-time. Oh, and let’s not forget keeper of all family scheduling knowledge, follower of Christ, goat farmer, avid reader, creative thinker…
Where do you begin to answer that question without looking like a crazy person? In all honesty, I usually give the brief answer that impresses the most, depending on who I’m around. Don’t we all?
Writing my About page was very hard. I will probably change it A LOT. I started this blog to document my journey diving head first into the effects of fashion on women. I began asking myself so many questions about why I bought what I bought, wore what I wore, felt what I felt, and as I started working with other women helping them to sort through their closet messes more questions and answers were revealed. I’m learning something new every day.
I am fascinated by the connection that women have to each other through fashion.
Our story is told by the clothes that we keep in our closet. Once we begin to read and assimilate that story, we begin to understand ourselves better and the opportunity becomes available to change what we don’t like about our discovery.
I will be sharing my own journey through this blog, and soon I will begin to feature one woman each month that has begun the journey of cleaning out her closet. We’ve already worked together, and continue to do so. We’ve purged, donated, re-assembled, and re-styled together. Look for the posts under Re-style Stories. You’re not going to want to miss these! And, if you want to be considered for a story, contact me here.
